Trumpmentioned to the newspaper that he desires "nice, thin blood" as he finally spoke out regarding the widespread rumors about his health.

The leader shared that he is counting on his "good genes" to remain in good health. He also quipped that he is consuming significantly moreaspirin than his doctors recommend.

Trump told WSJ that he was advised to reduce his aspirin intake but decided to disregard the medical professionals' recommendations, following a 25-year period of consuming a large quantity.

I have a bit of a superstitious side," he mentioned. "They claim that aspirin helps in thinning the blood, and I don't want thick blood flowing through my heart. I prefer having nice, thin blood moving through my heart," the president continued. "Does that make sense?

Meanwhile, Dr. Drew mentioned Trump in an interview withNewsmax,I wish I could have his health at 80. It's amazing. I hope God gives me similar vitality at that age.

The previous co-host of "Loveline" attributed the media's coverage of Trump having an MRI last year to the press, even though the president had stated he had the test done.

"A level of ignorance is evident here that is very common among the media. It's filled with complexity and ignorance. It's revolting," the physician stated.

Dr. Drew mentioned that Trump's CT scan was conducted to check for heart calcium.

"It's a method to check if there's calcium present in the coronary arteries, which are the blood vessels supplying the heart. And if there is, you can guess what happens? They treat it with rosuvastatin and aspirin. Trump taking aspirin isn't anything special. It helps lower the risk of stroke and heart disease. If your calcium score exceeds a specific threshold, aspirin can be beneficial," he said.

In October 2025, Trump informed reporters aboard Air Force Onethat he had an MRI scan at Walter Reed. A month later, Trumpdescribed his MRI results as “outstanding.”

Medical professionals have repeatedly cautioned that consuming excessive amounts of aspirin can result in significant health problems. Ingesting an overly large dose of aspirin at one time or using it too frequently may cause aspirin toxicity, as noted byWebMD.
