  • A former top player in the Ghana Premier League, Salifu Ibrahim, has moved from the local scene to a sophisticated, high-end lifestyle in Europe.
  • Salifu's ascent keeps motivating others, with his outstanding plays also drawing the interest of the Benin national team.
  • He is currently representing FC Drita, having re-established his playing relationship with former Hearts of Oak teammate Rady Ovouka from the Congo.

Once the creative core of Accra Hearts of Oak, Salifu Ibrahim has left the fierce competition of the Ghana Premier League to start a sophisticated new phase in Europe.

Currently playing for FC Drita in Kosovo and having been called up to the Benin national team, the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League's Most Valuable Player is performing well both on the field and in his private life.

Salifu's rise to prominence occurred during his remarkable 2020/21 campaign under coach Samuel Boadu, where he was pivotal in Hearts of Oak securing both the league and FA Cup titles. His skillful playmaking, ability to see opportunities in confined areas, and tireless effort garnered widespread recognition, including the Ghana Football Association Player of the Season honor.

That season not only boosted his visibility; it confirmed his position as one of Ghana's most promising local stars. Now, at only 24, the latest Benin international is striving for trophies once more, this time targeting the Kosovo Superleague title with Drita.

Former Colts player praises Salifu Ibrahim

Thinking back to his beginnings during an interview withArticlepedia Today.gh, fellow footballer Oscar Tetteh from Sunyani praised Salifu's early days:

When he first played for BA United, I realized he was exceptional. His initial touch, his passing, everything was top-notch. From there to Techiman Eleven Wonders, he continued to climb higher.

As per Transfermarkt, in August 2024, Salifu left Hearts of Oak to sign with FC Drita without any transfer fee. Although some were skeptical about the move to Kosovo, it has turned out to be successful. The Ghanaian club, currently facing a legal issue with a sports journalist, has not yet found an appropriate substitute for Salifu.

Salifu Ibrahim's good life

Starting from modest roots in Sunyani, he has moved into a lifestyle that many can only dream of, characterized by elegant clothing, fashionable vehicles, and picturesque European settings.

Salifu Ibrahim's Instagram and TikTok profiles now provide a peek into the lifestyle of a footballer who lives extravagantly: from wearing high-end clothing and sipping coffee at trendy cafes to driving a luxury vehicle with a wide grin.

Enhancing his comfort in Kosovo is the reconnection with Rady Ovouka, a former teammate from Hearts of Oak. The two, who previously played together in Ghana's premier league, now have a new connection in Europe—competing for titles together, both on and off the pitch.

Salifu's tale goes beyond football. It's a story of change, showing that skill, hard work, and persistence can transform one's life. His path from rough practice fields in Techiman to elegant streets in Europe is truly motivating.

An insight into Razak Pimpong's way of life

Articlepedia Today.ghonce emphasized the extraordinary path of former Ghanaian player Razak Pimpong, following his football career and his life post-retirement.

He gained fame for his tenure at Accra Great Olympics and his remarkable performance during Ghana's historic 2006 World Cup appearance, as Stephen Appiah recently shared a nostalgic post highlighting this milestone.
