However, as hosts Tess Daly and Claudia WinklemanStarted Saturday's show, live from the Tower Ballroom, audiences received a sorrowful update.
"You might have heard that La Voix has been injured, so she won't be able to dance in Blackpool tonight," Tess started.
And after receiving additional guidance from our medical team, we can now confirm that she has unfortunately had to leave the competition.
The camera then focused on La Voix in the crowd, appearing very distressed as the audience clapped.
Claudia also shared with fans that the dancer and her partner, Aljaž Škorjanec, will be featured in an interview during tomorrow's results episode.
Posting on her Instagram account following the news broadcast, La Voix shared a message stating, "after an entire week of hoping, healing, and doing everything I possibly could, my injury hasn't gotten better as we had hoped."
"I'm completely heartbroken to step down from Strictly Come Dancing," she wrote.
This isn't the shining exit I ever envisioned, and it hurts me to feel as though I'm disappointing others. My soul longs to continue dancing, but my foot has different plans!
Thank you for each cheer, each vote, and every bit of support – it has meant everything to me.
She concluded with: 'This is not the ending I had envisioned, but I will treasure it always.'
The performer mentioned in her long post that Strictly has been 'one of the most remarkable experiences of my life'.
My sole sorrow is that I won't be able to keep going on the path I had hoped to," she wrote, continuing to her partner: "What troubles me the most is the feeling that I've disappointed my amazing partner, Aljaž Škorjanec.
He has been there for me, motivated me, and had faith in me since the beginning, and I really wanted to continue dancing for him as well as for my own sake.
"To my fellow competitors - keep shining brightly. To everyone who has supported me, cast their votes for me, and sent such heartfelt messages: thank you. Your affection has encouraged me more than you realize," she added.
La Voix – whose real name is Christopher Dennis – received many kind messages in the comments, with Karen Hauer stating: “It won’t be the same without you, beautiful .. 🥺♥️love you lots.”
"Listen, my dear, everything occurs for a purpose, and you accomplished what you were meant to do: you created an impact. I love you, WE love you… Now, recover," said Michelle Visage.
In more surprising developments, this weekend's outcomes will appear somewhat different from usual.
To the relief of the remaining competitors, it has been announced that no one will be removed this Sunday.
This year, Blackpool will be even more remarkable,' Tess told them. 'Listen closely, everyone, because we have an announcement.
We can confirm that no one will be departing from Strictly this weekend.
As the cast embraced and celebrated, confident that there would be no dance competition the next day, the ballroom filled with cheers.
It follows that several other celebrities had to step down from Strictly this year, starting with Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn, who left before the launch show was even recorded.
Dani Dyer later sustained a foot injury, which led to her withdrawal and Amber Davies stepping in, along withKristian’s replacement, Lewis Cope.
The drama continued, as Neighbours icon Stefan Dennis, who was partnered with pregnant contestant Dianne Buswell, also had to withdraw from the competition because of a torn calf.
This makes La Voix the fourth celebrity to step down from Strictly 2025 individually.
Although fans are heartbroken to learn she is no longer in the series, the announcement that there will be no elimination this weekend was met with enthusiasm.
"NO ELIMINATION OH MY GODDDDDD THANK GOD," wrote @c3roline.
'I'm crying my eyes out at their live reactions to no elimination, that's one of my favorite Strictly moments ever,' @Kaaaaatie_x added on X.
'Happy that there will be no elimination this week! I was really hoping they'd make this decision after La Voix had to withdraw. It's completely fair to the remaining couples,' wrote @TheIceMaidenBrr.
The audience vote remains active this weekend, and the judges will continue to evaluate the performances as usual. All votes and scores will be transferred and added to next week's results.
And those worried about a break in the TV schedule tomorrow night can rest easy, as the results show will still be broadcast.
Rather than the feared dance-off and a heartfelt farewell, the event will feature an all-star show by some Strictly favorites (Ashley Roberts, Danny Mac, Jay McGuiness, and Layton Williams), a professional routine, and a musical act by Lewis Capaldi.
Strictly Come Dancing is broadcast on Saturdays and Sundays via BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
