A young Ghanaian, Otuo Serebour Opoku-Ware, was recognized as the top graduate from the College of Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Otuo Serebour Opoku-Ware earned a Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 86.75 upon graduation.
His CWA was just a little under the College's 2024 valedictorian, Isaac J. Oniti, who graduated with a CWA of 87.23.

A Facebook post stated that Otuo Serebour Opoku-Ware received his primary education at Gilead Academy and later enrolled at Opoku-Ware School in the Ashanti Region. At Opoku-Ware School, he pursued General Arts, with optional subjects including Economics, Geography, Government, and Elective Mathematics. He completed his studies at OWASS, achieving seven A grades and a B2 in his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Although he was enrolled in General Arts, Otuo Serebour dreamed of becoming a civil engineer. He continued his education in Physics and Chemistry at Elite College to meet the requirements for an engineering degree. Once he successfully completed these courses, he applied to KNUST and was accepted into the College of Engineering.
Following a dedicated year of teaching and delving into software engineering, Otuo joined the Civil Engineering program at KNUST. His time at university was truly remarkable. He maintained a top position in his class throughout all four years and was honored twice as the Best Student of the College of Engineering.
During his four-year academic journey, he completed 60 courses (151 credit hours), earning an impressive 57 A's and 3 B's, maintaining a perfect straight-A performance in his first, second, and final years. His lowest grade was 69, while he attained the maximum score of 99 on several occasions.
Although he was highly intelligent, Otuo Serebour was not solely concentrated on his studies. He was involved in various campus initiatives, such as being the Chair of the Trade and Technology Committee and a member of the Academic Executive Board within the Civil Engineering Students’ Association. He was also recognized for offering assistance to students who had failed a paper and needed to retake it.
